CRANSTON— Mayor Ken Hopkins proudly announced Cranston has been ranked the #1 Best Place to Live in Rhode Island for 2025-2026 by Real Estate U.S. News & World Report.
This prestigious recognition highlights the city's exceptional living conditions and the continuous efforts of its residents and officials in fostering a vibrant and inclusive community.
“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our community members, businesses, and city officials who strive to make Cranston a welcoming and thriving place for everyone,” Mayor Hopkins said, expressing his pride and gratitude. “Our commitment to enhancing the quality of life through exceptional public services, beautiful parks, and a vibrant local economy has continued to pay dividends.”

In 2023, the Fortune Magazine ranked Cranston among the top 50 communities in the country for families.
