PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Cranston Board of Canvassers will hold a public hearing regarding two proposed polling place changes on Thursday, January 8 at 5:30 p.m. at Cranston City Hall, 869 Park Ave., in Council Chambers, Third Floor.
Two polling locations are proposed to be changed due to the former locations no longer being available for use in elections:
Precinct 0708: Kelley-Gazzerro VFW Post 2812, 1418 Plainfield Pike, is proposed to move to Stone Hill Elementary School, 21 Village Ave.
Precinct 0712: Daniel D. Waterman Elementary School, 722 Pontiac Ave., is proposed to move to CLCF – Gym, 970 Pontiac Ave.
The polling locations are proposed to move to the nearest, best available, and most ADA-compliant facilities that can be used as voting sites in future city elections. Following the public hearing, the Board of Canvassers will discuss and vote on the proposal, which will still require approval by the state Board of Elections at a later date.
