Other Trash Items

Christmas Trees Collection:
Collected separately on your regular trash day for the first two weeks in January. Trees must be free of decoration including tinsel, garland, tree stand or other non-recyclable ornamentation. Please, no plastic tree bags.

Household Hazardous Waste Disposal:
Hazardous Waste will NOT be picked up as part of your curbside Refuse/Recycling collection. You should contact Rhode Island Resource Recovery Program's Eco-Depot at 942-1430 x 241. For example: expired gas grill tanks, paints, pesticides, etc.

Tire Disposal:
Must be brought to the dumpster at the Highway Department which is located at 929 Phenix Avenue between 7:00 am and 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Tires will no longer be collected with your regular trash. There is no fee for this service.

Televisions / Computer Monitors, CPU's, Laptops and Components:
Televisions and E-Waste may be dropped off at the Public Works Garage on Phenix Avenue. The City maintains a storage container to drop this waste off on a self-serve basis. The container is located at the rear of the property, between the two buildings as you enter the complex off Phenix Avenue.

The hours for drop-off will be from 7:30 Am to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. TV?s and E-Waste which consist of computers, monitors, and printers will be accepted. There is no fee for this service.

Bulky Waste:
Disposal of Bulky Waste (defined as any object that will not fit into a roll out cart) is the responsibility of the property owner. You may arrange for pick up by calling Waste Management at 1-800-972-4545. There will be a fee of $21 per item.

Automobile Waste Oil:
Automobile waste oil may be brought to the Oil Igloo located at the Walter Cornell Municipal Complex (Highway Garage), 929 Phenix Avenue between 7:00 am and 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. There is a 10 gallon limit per resident, and no fee for this service.

The Highway garage is open from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday.
