CRANSTON - As part of the city's ongoing commitment to improve city infrastructure and enhance our community spaces, residents and drivers have likely witnessed ongoing road work across the city. These improvements are a vital component of our broader revitalization efforts, aimed at ensuring safer, smoother travel for all who drive through our city.
PLEASE BE AWARE that certain operations, especially paving, are weather dependent, in which case the schedule is subject to change. The DPW may need to update the schedule based on these and other extenuating circumstances.
Temporary detours and traffic controls may be in place, and all drivers are advised to plan their routes accordingly to allow for extra travel time. Please stay vigilant, drive carefully through construction zones, and respect all posted signs and instructions from traffic personnel to ensure the safety of workers, fellow drivers, and students traveling to and from school.
We apologize for any temporary inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work towards making Cranston an even better place to live, work, and visit. Your understanding and support are greatly appreciated as we continue to enhance our beloved city.
Sincerely,
Mayor Ken Hopkin & The City of Cranston Department of Public Works
